I found this article while looking for some information about how to be authentic. The article states that our society measures success by the amount of savings one have. Psychology Today is an American website so possibly things are different over there?
From what I see, British society measures success by the amount of debt one has. In here, if you have any savings, it means you ‘don’t have a life’. It happened to me a few times that I was being talked down because I am sensible with money.
I don’t suppose saying that will make me very popular? But then, possibly someone needs to say that? Autistics are more prone to have financial problems than neurotypicals and this frivolous attitude presented by general public is really not helping.
