You know that feeling when you want to have a moan, but just a little one, like 3 minutes only, and then you want to move on? It’s not so easy when you talk to NTs. You need to know a special code. I discovered it in my early 30s by a total accident.
It goes like that:
1. ‘Thank you’
2. ‘I already feel better for being able to talk about it with you.’ or something around those lines.
3. Change the subject immediately.
If you pause after 2 just to think what else to say, they’ll keep providing you support and you’ll have to start the whole process all over again.
Speaking to NTs is not always easy my dear.
