When I first wanted to discuss starting this websire with my boyfriend, also autistic, he said: ‘Think about what you really want to do’ and it sounded really supportive, in a logical way, which is exactly what I appreciate him for.
But then, after like two hours of exchanging ideas he said the same thing and it didn’t sound supportive at all. It sounded dismissive.

Why? Because I already told him about my ideas and yet he was telling me to think about them, so it looked like they were all wrong! It turned out he didn’t mean it like that at all. He wanted to be supportive and didn’t think that the same sentence can have a different meaning if used in a different setting.
